If laundry is piling up faster than you can get to it, you have two real options for a laundry service in Folsom: drop it off, or have it picked up. Both get your washing and folding done by the same team, using the same process. The difference is what fits your week.
Launderland of Folsom is the only full-service laundromat located in Folsom proper, with wash & fold drop-off, pickup & delivery, and self-service machines all under one roof at 646 E Bidwell St. Here's how the two service options work, what each one costs, and how to pick the right laundry service in Folsom for your household.
Wash & Fold Drop-Off: Bring It In, Pick It Up Clean
Drop-off works well if you're already running errands near East Bidwell Street or you want your laundry back the same day. You bring it in, we weigh it, wash it, dry it, and fold it, and you pick it up ready to put away. Items are washed and folded by household, so if you're dropping off for more than one person, everything comes back sorted rather than mixed into one pile.
Standard wash & fold covers everyday clothing, towels, sheets, and other machine-washable items. Dry-clean-only garments and specialty pieces like wedding dresses aren't part of the standard service, so ask us when you drop off if you're not sure how something should be handled.
Pricing is straightforward: $1.90 per pound with a $20 minimum. Comforters are priced separately (Queen $23, King $25, Full $20), ironing runs $5 per item, and same-day service is available for $10 if you drop off early enough in the day.
Drop-off hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and weekends 1 to 6 p.m. Full details are on our wash & fold drop-off page.
Pickup & Delivery: We Come to You
Pickup & delivery skips the trip entirely. You schedule online, leave your laundry out, and it comes back washed, dried, and folded without you setting foot in the store. For a lot of Folsom households, this ends up being the laundry service that actually gets used, since it removes the one step that causes laundry to pile up in the first place: getting yourself and the laundry out the door.
We run pickup & delivery in Folsom and El Dorado Hills at $2.10 per pound for recurring, scheduled pickups and $2.25 per pound for one-time orders, with a $35 order minimum and no separate delivery fee. Same-day service is $10 when your schedule allows it. We also cover Granite Bay, Loomis, Rocklin, Rancho Cordova, Fair Oaks, and Sacramento at slightly different per-pound rates. Full rates and coverage are on our pickup & delivery page and serving area page.
Recurring pickup is the better rate per pound, and it's also the option most people stick with once they set it up. Pick a day that works and laundry stops being something you have to remember to schedule. Most residential customers set a standing day, weekly or every other week, and can still add a one-time order in between without changing their regular schedule.
What a Laundry Service Actually Costs in Folsom
One reason people put off finding a laundry service in Folsom is they assume it costs more than it does. A typical household load runs 10 to 15 pounds. At $1.90 per pound for wash & fold, that's $19 to $28.50 per load, close to our $20 minimum. At $2.10 per pound for recurring pickup & delivery, the same load runs $21 to $31.50, with nothing added for gas, a delivery fee, or the time you'd otherwise spend sitting at a laundromat. For a family generating three to four loads a week, that's a predictable, budgeted cost instead of a Saturday lost to folding.
Which One Actually Fits Your Week?
Drop-off makes sense if you're out running errands anyway, you want same-day turnaround, or you'd rather see the place and meet the people doing your laundry. It's also the better fit for one-off jobs like comforters or a stack of ironing.
Pickup & delivery makes sense if getting to a laundromat at all is the hard part. Parents managing kids' schedules, professionals working long hours, and anyone hosting guests or coming back from a trip tend to lean toward pickup, especially once they set it to recur automatically instead of booking order by order.
There's no wrong answer here. Plenty of our customers use both: drop-off for a same-day need, pickup & delivery for the recurring week-to-week load.
Why Folsom Residents Choose a Local Laundry Service Over a Regional Delivery App
A handful of laundry delivery companies based in Sacramento advertise into Folsom, but they're routing your order through a driver coming from somewhere else. Launderland is physically in Folsom, which means a team that's actually local and a laundromat you can walk into if you'd rather talk to someone in person than an app.
We're also the only full-service laundromat located in Folsom itself, so self-service, wash & fold, and pickup & delivery are all handled by the same crew at the same location. Nationally, the laundry industry serves a large and steady customer base for a reason: according to the Coin Laundry Association, there are roughly 29,500 coin laundries operating in the U.S., generating close to $5 billion in annual revenue, a sign of how consistently renters and households without in-unit machines depend on laundromats and the services built around them. Being one of them, located in Folsom rather than advertising in from somewhere else, is the difference we lean on. See what customers in Folsom are saying if you want more than our word for it.
